School Development Director

Ian Hunt

Ian is a CEO and Chair of UK International Schools Group and a Consultative Advisor to UK schools looking to set up and develop overseas branches. He has advised on recent new school development in India, UAE, and Switzerland.  He was an Advisor to William Clarence Education, Managing Director of Gabbitas and contributed to recent education podcasts and educational journal publication of international press (The Times, Forbes Magazine, Daily Telegraph).

Korea Director

Byeongdo Choi

Byeongdo is the founder and leader of the Korean side of BIEK.  He manages an assembly of leading figures in Korean education, politics and business. He is a leading Korean electronics and IT entrepreneur in the UK and South Korea and his companies are amongst the key government suppliers.  He has a passion for education and developing British Korean relations.

Partnership Director

Henry Aronsson

Before joining BIEK, Henry worked for several years in London as a senior business strategy consultant, where he led teams in significant projects for Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms. Holding a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick, Henry's expertise extends beyond the corporate sector into education. He is sought-after in teaching, particularly for his experience in delivering Maths and Science. He has collaborated with Byeongdo Choi in business and educational development, spending time in both the UK and South Korea and also co-founded an online educational platform, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact in the field of education.

Educational Director

Rhidian Llewellyn

Rhidian began his teaching career at Heatherdown. From 1980-1984 he was Head of History and English at Arnold House School in St John’s Wood, London. In 1986 he became Senior Housemaster at The Dragon School, Oxford before being becoming Headmaster of Papplewick School. Via his consultancy for Governing bodies, Llewellyn Education, he helps appoint Heads and senior staff, as well as offering mentoring.

UK Director

Sebastian Pozzo

Sebastian has been managing director of a leading international educational consultancy. He is now President of Otter Education, an adaptive learning platform and works as a consultant in educational software. He has worked on projects to develop international schools and is also fluent in French and Russian.  In his spare time Sebastian enjoys spending time with family and playing chess, having been a British Chess Captain representing England internationally.

Head of Curriculum and Educational Design

Dr Nick Kemp

Nick was awarded a First in Medieval and Modern History from the University of London and a distinction in an MA in International History from the LSE before going up to Balliol College, Oxford where he was awarded an MSc in Economic and Social History. This led onto his DPhil and then to a PGCE at New College, Oxford. He worked in the British state sector, and then took up a post at Harrow School where he remained for twenty two years teaching History and Politics, serving as Head of Politics, Assistant House Master and then as a House Master. He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and truly believes in the merits of an all-round education.

Academic Lead

Dr Joy Silverman

Joy has a wealth of experience teaching maths and science in a wide variety of British state and independent schools and enabled numerous students to attain high value-added scores in 11+, 13+ and GCSE examinations. Also active in educational research and in exploring how to deliver optimal teaching, Joy has a PhD in Mathematics Education from University College London, where she investigated the ways in which anxiety and classroom behaviours mediate the learning progress and attainment of secondary school students in maths lessons. Joy consults for educational companies who produce modular schemes of work and assists foreign students in navigating the British educational system.

Founding Director of Music

Prof. Simon Callaghan

Simon Callaghan is Professor of Piano at the Royal Northern College of Music and a Steinway Artist, with an international career as a soloist and recording artist spanning labels including Hyperion, Nimbus and Lyrita. He is also Artistic Director of the Conway Hall Sunday Concerts in London, the longest-running chamber music series in Europe. As Founding Director of Music at BIEK, Simon brings the teaching philosophy of the British conservatoire tradition to students in Korea, having played a leading role in the RNCM Seoul International Piano Competition and BIEK Global Arts Week 2026.
